Heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in parts of Selangor and several other states this evening, according to a warning issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 4:30 pm on Tuesday.
In Selangor, the warning covers Klang and Kuala Langat. The alert also applies to parts of Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.
In Sarawak, affected areas include Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Samarahan and Kapit.
The warning is in effect until 7 pm on Tuesday, 29 September.
Residents in affected areas can expect periods of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds during the warning period.
