Singapore stocks opened higher on Friday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) rising 14.65 points or 0.26% to 5,682.32 as of 9.09am.
Market breadth was positive, with 108 gainers against 83 decliners. Trading volume stood at 62.74 million shares worth S$184.14 million.
Among STI constituents, DBS traded at S$77.69, while OCBC Bank stood at S$31.87 and UOB at S$43.60. Singtel was at S$4.28 while ST Engineering traded at S$11.01.
UMS gained one cent or 0.36% to S$2.76 in early trading.
In the REIT segment, CapitaLand Ascendas REIT fell two cents or 0.89% to S$2.23. CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust stood at S$2.26, while Mapletree Industrial Trust traded at S$1.85 and Frasers Centrepoint Trust at S$2.08.
Keppel DC REIT stood at S$2.14, while Suntec REIT traded at S$1.36.
In derivatives, FTSE China A50 Index futures stood at 13,861 as of 8.48am, while Nikkei 225 Index futures traded at 68,635.
SGX FTSE Taiwan Index futures stood at 64,278.75, while MSCI Singapore Index futures were at 528.85.
