Kelington Group Bhd edged 0.11% higher in late morning trading on Tuesday after securing a further RM133 million contract for an advanced data storage manufacturing facility in Kuching, Sarawak.
As at 11.12am, the counter was up one sen to RM9.13, after opening at RM9.13. It hit an intraday high of RM9.23 and a low of RM9.08, with 611,500 shares traded.
The latest award, secured by wholly-owned subsidiary Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd, covers major structural steel works at the facility in the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone.
The contract is expected to commence immediately and be completed by April 2028.
The award brings Kelington’s total contracts and purchase orders from the same customer for the project to about RM416 million.
It follows a RM172 million contract secured on Sept 29, while the group had previously secured about RM283 million in contracts and purchase orders for the facility.
Kelington said its year-to-date contract wins have now reached RM3.91 billion, including the latest award and subsequent wins, strengthening its order book and earnings visibility.
The group had secured RM1.23 billion in new contracts for the six months ended June 30, 2026.
Chief executive officer Lim Seng Chuan said the successive awards reflected the customer’s confidence in Kelington’s execution capabilities and its ability to undertake multiple work scopes within a large-scale facility development.
He added that the group expects further work packages to be awarded as the project progresses and remains optimistic about securing additional scopes.
