US stocks continued to march higher as a global bond sell-off and soaring diesel costs haven’t dented investors’ optimism over upcoming earnings and the artificial intelligence boom.
The Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.6% after the tech-heavy index hit a record high on Monday, bolstered by all-time highs in Nvidia shares and other tech names.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4%, while the S&P 500 climbed 0.5% and was on track for a record high at the close.Treasury yields eased on Tuesday, with the 10-year yield sitting at 5.29% after reaching its highest closing level in 24 years. The 30-year yield at 5.66% is also near its highest since 2002.
Tech stocks also caught a bid after Taiwanese Nvidia partner Foxconn reported healthy earnings, signaling strong demand globally for AI infrastructure. We’re watching Nvidia shares as the company’s market capitalization nears $6 trillion.
