King urges Malaysians to adhere to MCO guidelines to prevent possible emergence of a new cluster

According to a news report by Bernama, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali had a video conference session earlier today.

Azmin Ali had briefed His Majesty on the measures being taken by the government in order to mitigate the effect of Covid-19 on the country.

According to the Royal Household of the palace, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, the King has expressed his concerns over the impact arising from the containment measures on the country’s economy.

And as the Movement Control Order (MCO) goes into its sixth week, the King has urged Malaysians to preserve in dealing with the challenges until situation is able to return to normalcy.

“Strict adherence to the guidelines is important to prevent the emergence of a new Covid-19 cluster,”  he said.

The MCO had recently been extended up until May 12.
