PNB’s youngest CEO to exit after 7 months

According to reports by the The Edge Malaysia and Malay Mail, Permodalan Nasional Berhad’s chief executive officer, Jalil Rasheed is set to exit the company after seven months.

According to The Edge Malaysia, a board meeting of PNB’s directors with the chairman is expected to be called soon to deliberate the matter. Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz is PNB chairman.

Reports further claim that the exit comes after issues surrounding his appointment which was made by Pakatan Harapan.

Rasheed took over the position that was left vacant by his predecessor, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman,  served as presi­dent/group CEO for 18 years. He had introduced permanent work-from-home options for staff members and vouched for digital transformations for the company.
