Marina Bay Sands launches state-of-the-art Hybrid Broadcast Studio

Marina Bay Sands has made milestones in its MICE offerings as the industry embarks on its recovery in a Covid-19 world – it has launched a state-of-the-art Hybrid Broadcast Studio at Sands Expo and Convention Centre to combine virtual meetings with a ‘live’ immersive, broadcast-quality environment.

In another first for Singapore’s MICE industry, the venue has also attained 100 percent carbon neutrality. Following the recent announcement by the Singapore Government, the integrated resort (IR) is working towards welcoming MICE events of up to 250 attendees upon obtaining the necessary approvals from the authorities.

Three pilot events will be held at Marina Bay Sands – WiT Experience Week 2020 (1 October), Singapore International Energy Week
Conference 2020 (26-30 October) and TravelRevive – powered by ITB Asia and STB (November).

“Hybrid meetings will help enable the return of large-scale events in a virtual manner amid the Covid-19 situation and we want to set the stage for these shows by providing planners with a suite of useful and innovative solutions which are relevant for the times. Our highly advanced hybrid broadcast studio is not only equipped with industry-grade broadcasting equipment and an interactive stage set-up, it will also be maintained with the highest sanitisation levels to ensure the well-being of our clients,” said Paul Town, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Marina Bay Sands.
