PM assures no curfew and business activities to function accordingly following emergency declaration

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has guaranteed there will be no curfew and business activities will continue to function with adherents to SOP.  

This comes after the King’s consent to the declaration of state emergency that will be begin today until Aug 1. The emergency could be ended earlier if the number of Covid-19 cases can be effectively reduced.

“The government will keenly monitor business activities to ensure amidst economic trajectory, it is well sustained. Robust economic growth plan also will be formed,” he added.   

He assured that the emergency declared will give space for economic recovery and the public are advised to remain calm and to adhere to SOPs in place.

Putrajaya has also placed six states under MCO starting tomorrow, Jan 13 following the massive spike in cases.
