Putrajaya commits RM15 billion stimulus package to aid affected Malaysian individuals and businesses

The Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhiyiddin Yassin has announced that aid for all affected Malaysians and business sectors will be expedited with a total allocation worth RM15 billion. 

The package includes the extension for moratorium, restructuring of loan repayment by the banks, one off financial assistance, electric rebates, and tax cuts.

A total of 22 initiatives will be delivered under Permai, with its main objectives to combat the outbreak, social welfare and support the business continuity.

The government also outlined that the wage subsidy programme 3.0 will be enhanced, and employees operating in MCO states are eligible to apply.

In his live statement, the Prime Minister has guaranteed the MCO 2.0 will not cause severe damage to business as the situation are well controlled.

The Government also pledged to ensure business operations continue nationwide and the aid will be able to support business cash flow.
