MAFI Prihatin extends food aid relief to affected flood victims in Sabah

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) has expanded the MAFI Prihatin Mission in Sabah to alleviate mainly the farmers, ranchers and fishermen with distributing items worth RM23,000.

MAFI Prihatin was set in Sabah Beluran district, as part of the social responsibility and joint effort among the agencies under MAFI. 

The programe , launched by  MAFI Minister Ronald Kiandee distributed rice and dry food to over 106 members of PPK Beluran in Kampung Pinangkau, Rivers, and Kelagan Jaya. 

On top of that, in conjunction with the People’s Concerned Economic Stimulus Package (PRE) under the Food Material Mobilization and Logistics Improvement Program, Ronald also presented a Toyota Single Cab key replica during the launch ceremony.

Besides the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (LPP), other agencies taking part includes Research Institute And Malaysian Agricultural Development (MARDI), Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM), Organization National Farmers (NAFAS) and Kota Integrated Agricultural Development Area (IADA) Belud, Sabah.

MAFI Prihatin Mission was first initiated to flood victims Pahang before Sabah.  The Ministry is said to be providing more food supply aid to ease the affected members nationwide.
