HRDF Launches Job Placement Centre To Match Businesses With Right Talent

HRDF has launched the HRDF Placement Centre (HPC), a one-stop platform to help more Malaysians gain access to job opportunities.

The HPC is an online platform for matching job supplies with demand as well as upskilling to further propel job seekers to meet the current industry needs.

HRDF aims to provide over 50,000 job placements and income generation opportunities through the platform.

The HPC was officiated by the Ministry of Human Resources, M. Saravanan together with the Finance Minister, Tengku Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz.

“This initiative is aligning with the Government’s mission to reduce employment and address the key priorities area this year to provide more jobs. Covid-19 has hammered many lives, through this platform we will bring back their income generative opportunity and economic recovery,” Tengku Zafrul said.

Meanwhile, Shahul Hameed, Chief Executive of HRDF said, “HPC is a place for Malaysian talent to strengthen their skills and knowledge for the needs of their respective industry.”

“We are pleased to bring together our strategic partners, employers, training providers and career coaches onto one centralised platform.”

Notably, over 200 candidates have secured jobs through HPC, and are set to jumpstart their career journey.

Saravanan said the HPC platform will integrate the E-latih platform in effort to address the skills gap as well as creating job retention.

“As of now, there are no requirements set for each company to enlist their company in the HPC portal. Our target is to reach 50,000 and regardless of which sector, the portal is open to all,” he added.
