SSDU Continues Collaboration With Maybank To Promote Cashless Payments Via E-Souq Online

Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) has continued their partnership with Maybank Berhad for the Smart Selangor e-Souq online store initiative on the Maybank Sama-Sama Lokal Platform to expand the online Ramadan e-bazaar programme wider across Selangor.

The collaboration is aimed to expand the opportunities for traders on the e-Souq online store on Sama-Sama Lokal, to sell iftar cuisines and Hari Raya products online as an alternative or complementary to the existing physical Ramadan bazaar.

Managing Director of SSDU, Fahmi Ngah said the collaboration with Maybank is in line with the Smart Economy objectives to promote a state-wide cashless digital economy as well as implementing digitalisation elements to help merchants grow their businesses online.

“Trader registration into the e-Souq online store programme is also free”, he added.

“The presence of the e-Souq store on Maybank’s Sama-Sama Lokal platform will expand marketing opportunities for traders and provide alternative iftar delivery services for the general public.

Traders have the option of trading online or at physical bazaar sites using cashless payment methods, while the public will have the choice of buying their iftar food and Raya items either at the bazaar sites or online at Sama-Sama Lokal from the comfort of their home or office,” Fahmi said.

SSDU will be promoting the cashless payment movement using the Maybank Scan & Pay (previously known as Maybank QRPay) at various Ramadan bazaars under the purview of twelve local councils in Selangor starting April 13 this year.
