Malaysia Looking To Strengthen Agriculture Cooperation With Uzbekistan

News portal Bernama has reported that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries is looking to explore new cooperation opportunities in the agriculture and food industry sector with Uzbekistan.

According to MAFI, agricultural trade from January to November 2020 amounted to RM115.03 million, with Malaysia’s agricultural trade export value to Uzbekistan valued at RM145.97 million and import value amounted to RM30.94 million.

Export products included coffee, cocoa, tea, spices and fruits while imported products were vegetables and fruits.

Minister Ronald Kiandee said matters regarding bilateral relations were discussed upon Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Ravshan Usmanov’s courtesy call on Wisma Tani yesterday.
