Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has unveiled the Economic Recovery and People’s Protection Package worth RM150 billion that will also involve RM10 billion in direct fiscal injection.
Under the package, individuals who have lost their sources of income will receive RM500 and is expected to benefit around 1 million citizens. Fresh graduates and informal sectors works who are not registered with SOCSO will be able to receive RM300 in allowance after registering at the MyFutureJobs platform.
Putrajaya will also be increasing the capacity for the PICK programme in order to increase vaccination rate.
All MPs will also receive RM300,000 from Putrajaya to provide food aids to their constituencies.
B40 households are set to receive RM500 from the government in August and RM300 in December while B40 bachelors will receive RM200 in allowance in August. Additionally, M40 households will receive RM250 in August while M40 bachelors will receive RM100 in the same month.
