Kimlun Awarded RM780 Million Sarawak-Sabah Link Road Project By Samling Resources

Kimlun Corporation via its subsidiary Kimplun Sdn Bhd has been awarded to be the main contractor for construction and maintenance work of the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road Construction Project (Lawas-Long Lopeng Junction by Samling Resources Sdn Bhd.

The amount of the project is estimated to be RM780 million, according to reports the 77 kilometer link road is budgeted to be RM1.13 billion and is expected to spur economic growth along Northern Sarawak. The total year-to-date construction projects and manufacturing orders secured are RM1 billion. With the 4 year project, the order book for the group will swell to RM1 billion to date.

Once ready to use in 2026, the connectivity between the 2 states will be historical and drive immense growth in trade and tourism. These highways has been a long-time dream for East Malaysia, and the realisation of it finally coming to be constructed is certainly a celebratory moment.
