Selangor Budget 2022 To Focus On Education And Economic Recovery

Selangor is placing much emphasis on education as this has been one of the issues the Menteri Besar has been closely monitoring since taking the position at the State. In the upcoming State Budget, Dato Seri Amiruddin states that he will include a higher allocation for the education sector and at the same time push for economic recovery.

In his recent address to State Exco’s, he said “Covid-19 has significantly impacted the education ecosystem and it should be addressed immediately,”

Budget #Selangor2022 is scheduled to be tabled at the Selangor State Assembly next week and will focus on efforts to revitalise the economic sector to help the people after the Covid-19 epidemic.

Amirudin said several measures to speed up the sector’s recovery process were being mobilised to reverse the loss of revenue in 2020 and this year.

‘We will provide formulas and recipes to move the economy and faster so that losses in 2020 and this year can be dealt with well,’. There is also rumours that several strategies to prepare the State Government administration to be better prepared to face pandemics and economic crises in the future.

Selangor is the largest state in the country in terms of population and the economy was severely impacted during the multiple lockdowns, however, it is also the most well managed in terms of administration. All eyes will be on the size of the budget after the Federal Governments recent Budget 2022 which has already made history being the bigges.
