Ramsay Sime Darby Renames Manipal Hospital To Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre

Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care has renamed Manipal Hospitals Klang as Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre, the change in name comes on the heels of its 100% acquisition of the hospital earlier this year.

The rebranding of the 220-bed hospital is part of the group approach in distinguishing the hospitals according to their location.

Peter Hong, Acting Group CEO of RSDH, said, “Renaming the hospital according to the neighbourhood it exists in not only creates a distinctive identity, but it also helps the facilities remain connected to the community it serves.”

The Group has also been investing in technological innovations for close to a decade and has one of the most comprehensive electronic medical records systems amongst hospitals in the country. The same level of digitalisation will be injected into BTMC in the months ahead.

The hospital celebrates its 5th anniversary this year and recently welcomed Jasmine Lau as its Chief Executive Officer.

Lau said, “As an established medical facility of repute in Klang, BTMC can now further benefit from being a part of the RSDH group by leveraging expertise and operational support that will enhance our service delivery as we move forward.” RSDH is equally owned by Sime Darby Berhad and Australia’s Ramsay Health
