UPM Ranked Malaysia’s Most Sustainable University

Universiti Putra Malaysia has been awarded the title Most Sustainable University in Malaysia when it ranked first in the country under the UI-GreenMetric World University Ranking 2021, which it has won 12 years in a row.

Accordingly in a statement, the university said it also managed to increase its position to 27th place in the "Top 50 Sustainable Universities in The World" (50 Best Sustainable Universities in the World) this year including being listed as the third best university in Asia. .

Vice -Chancellor Prof Dr Mohd Roslan Sulaiman added that the university would continue to be committed to supporting sustainability efforts and disseminating knowledge by focusing on conservation and preservation of the environment.

"Sustainability efforts will continue to be implemented by our campus residents to ensure that the UPM 2021-2025 Strategic Plan can be achieved," said Mohd Roslan.

The sustainable campus rating covers the scope of infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education.
