Najib Ibrahim, Managing Director of Cyberview said, “This cohort was chosen primarily for their ability to tap into opportunities that are beyond conventional spaces, hence addressing gaps in the marketplace. We are also looking into ensuring that the start-ups are provided with the means to scale quickly in which access to funding is vital. “.

During the session, the cohort collectively garnered a potential investment value of more than RM14 million. Najib further expressed his confidence that this cohort will find commercial success by looking at the encouraging outcome of the Demo Day. CRADLE, Penjana Capital, Malaysia Business Angel Network (MBAN), Nexea, Vynn Capital, The Hive Southeast Asia and RHL Ventures were among the venture capitals who attended the virtual session.

The CLLA programme provides a launchpad for start-ups and innovators to accelerate their business development and growth in Cyberjaya. The entire city of Cyberjaya serves as a sandbox for these companies to conduct proof-of-concept testing of their products and solutions. The start-ups will also have opportunities to network and connect with relevant industry experts during the five-month process mentorship, strategy formulation, and consultancy, guided by Cyberview. While they are based at a smart city collaborative space provided by Cyberview known as CoInnov8, the start-ups can enjoy value added services worth over RM100,000 on top of it.
