Pickupp Founder Crystal Pang says the company wants to improve its existence plans to expand its footing locally with nationwide coverage to provide customers with greater hospitality in 2022.

“Pickupp plans to expand its footings in Malaysia with nationwide coverage and a network of self-pickup and drop-off points, thus providing customers with greater accessibility, flexibility, and convenience. The company aims to expand its presence locally in Malacca and Ipoh in 2022. 

Crystal also says the company is forming partnerships with Kirimman and Parcelhub to help build the ecosystem of accessible pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) through satellite warehouses and multi-city warehouse expansion.

“We want to build an ecosystem for SMEs and individuals with a network of easily accessible pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) points in Malaysia by utilising satellite warehouses as well as multi-city warehouse expansion and developing partnerships with Kirimman and Parcelhub.

Pickupp provides flexible, tech-driven logistics solutions that enable businesses of all sizes to scale and thrive. 

“Pickupp’s flexible delivery windows and scheduling feature enable customers to be nimble and capitalise on business opportunities. 

“In comparison to traditional fixed fleets, we use a hybrid of freelancers and an in-house delivery fleet to cater to fluctuating levels of demand, allowing businesses to de-bottleneck peak sales periods and scale effectively.

“Our automated intelligent system identifies the delivery addresses, calculates the best dispatch points and delivery route, and matches the most suitable delivery agent near the location. 

According to Crystal, she classified two challenges outcome from the pandemic: changing consumer behaviour and the scale and timeliness of deliveries have increased.

“Changing consumer behaviour, I witnessed an increase in delivery orders from many of our customers across industries and door-to-door courier service started receiving orders of non-conventional nature that were unique to the last-mile logistics sector. 

“Scale and Timeliness of deliveries increased: Consumers wanted deliveries cheaper, transparent and fast. 

“We overcame the surge in demand during the pandemic with the help from our highly optimised batching and chaining technology as well as hybrid fleet,” she concludes.
