Bursa Announces Closure For CNY And FT Day

  • In conjunction with the Federal Territory Day and Chinese New Year holidays, Bursa Malaysia Berhad had announced its operation time will be half-Day Morning Trading Session on Monday, 31 January 2022 meaning trading will be opened for the morning session only on Monday, 31 January.
  • It added that there will be no trading in the afternoon session. However, clearing and settlement services provided by Bursa Malaysia Securities Clearing; depository services provided by Bursa Malaysia Depository; and clearing services provided by Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Clearing will continue as usual until the end of the business day.
  • Closure of Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and Wednesday, 2 February 2022 Bursa Malaysia and all its subsidiaries will be closed on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and Wednesday, 2 February 2022 in conjunction with the Federal Territory Day and Chinese New Year holidays.
  • The Exchange and its subsidiaries will resume business on Thursday, 3 February 2022
