OpenSys To Supply CRM’s For BSN Branches In a Deal Worth RM10.8 Million

OpenSys (M) Berhad which is involved in ICT services, has managed to secure a contract worth RM10.8 million to supply additional Cash Recycling Machines to Bank Simpanan Nasional branches nationwide.

CRMs are dual-function machines that replace standalone cash deposit and cash dispensing machines in banks and financial institutions. It enables deposited cash to be ‘recycled’ and dispensed to customers, which improves operational uptime and saves banks up to 30% of costs.

OpenSys first supplied BSN the initial batch of CRMs in 2019. With additional CRMs deployed under this latest LOA, BSN would commission more than 270 CRMs in total across branches nationwide by the end of 2022.

CEO, Eric Lim Swee Keah said “With this current undertaking, OpenSys continues to maintain our market leadership in the CRM space, by deploying more than 80% of CRMs in Malaysia. This additional award from BSN demonstrates the CRMs’ ability to generate significant savings in operational costs, improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer service for banks.

Apart from supplying and commissioning the CRMs, OpenSys would also undertake regular maintenance of the machines. Commenting further, Lim added “With COVID-19 being managed well in the country, we are starting to see that banks are reinforcing the urgency to enhance operations with new and proven technologies. This indicates a positive growth outlook for our core business for the new financial year.
