FTSE BM KLCI Traded Mixed

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 17 – The FTSE BM KLCI today is buoyed by the plantation stocks and heavyweights such as Heineken and Carlsberg. While most of the key regional markets in Asia except Japan were ended in positive territories, as bond yields ease as investors weigh Fed against Ukraine risks.

** Bursa Malaysia ended marginally higher on Thursday, the FTSE BM KLCI 1.82 points or 0.11% to 1,605.02.

** The FTSE BM KLCI opened at 1,609.92. The index fluctuated between 1,601.94- 1,614.82.

** 515 counters are gainers, 457 counters are unchanged, while 423 counters are losers.

** Total volume of 3,910,212,510 shares changed hands; while Turnover of RM3,338,172,337.

** The Top 5 Gainers : CARLSBG (22.30, +2.10) ; HEIM (22.42, 2.06) ; BKAWAN (27.10, +1.36) ; KLK (26.60, +1.00) ; GENP (8.50, +0.70)

** The Top 5 Losers : SAM (23.00, -0.54) ; ALLIANZ-PA (12.62, -0.32) ; AEONCR (14.70, -0.30) ; PMBTECH-LA (18.10, -0.30) ; G3-WA 0.06, -0.24

** The Top 5 Most Active Stocks : DNEX (1.26, -0.01) ; SMTRACK (0.24, +0.015) ; VC (0.08, +0.01) ; KNM (0.185, UNCHANGED); VINVEST (0.55, +0.08)

** Singapore’s Straits Times Index (STI) up 7.50 or 0.22% to 3,446.80 ; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index inched higher 73.87 points or +0.30% at 24,792.77;  Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped 227.53 or -0.83% at 27,232.87; and Korea’s KOSPI rose 14.41 points or 0.53% to 2,744.09;  Shanghai’s SSE Composite Index up 2.20 points or 0.064% to 3,468.04.
