Southeast Asia’s Major Virtual Career Fair Launched by SEEK Asia

Australia Stock Exchange-listed SEEK Asia and its subsidiary Jobstreet Malaysia announced the launch of ‘Asia’s Biggest Virtual Career Fair’, aimed to match thousands of tech and digital job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of candidates.

This is part of SEEK Asia’s evolving ‘Let’s Get To Work’ campaign, which is targeted at encouraging participation and empowerment in the workforce.

The career fair will be held from 9 March 2022 to 11 March 2022, with some of Malaysia’s top tech and digital jobs in multinationals like Top Glove, RHB Banking Group, Dell Technologies, Intel, IBM and TIME.

Live up for its digital transformation theme, this career fair features a mobile-first interface, to enable employers and candidates to seamlessly participate virtually, from countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.

the virtual platform for on-the-spot, live interviews through real time connection via chat and online interview schedulers are accessible for employers and candidates.

Besides that, they can access to career tools such as insights on emerging roles and salaries in tech companies, as well as masterclasses on writing winning resumes, and useful tips for candidates to ace job interviews.

“The virtual career fair is organised in response to the marked increase in the demand for tech talent. JobStreet Malaysia’s 2022 Job Report reported a 42.4% year-on-year increase in hiring from the computer and tech industry. In 2020 and 2021, the digital transformation of businesses in the Food & Beverage, Financial Services and Property & Real Estate industries spurred the demand for computer IT talent, creating a need for employers and candidates to amplify efforts in upskilling and reskilling to hone digital skills,” Vic Sithasanan, Managing Director at JobStreet Malaysia said.
