Principal Expands Digital Self-Service Access for Investment

Principal Asset Management (Principal) expanded its web-based investment services by empowering customers to give them autonomy on managing their investment.

Investors are now able to take control of their investments by digitally tapping into the retirement and asset management expertise from the asset management company and invest using cash or their EPF funds.

“We started developing digital financial solutions to better serve our customers’ needs and now, provide more autonomy to individual investors who prefer to take control of their investment portfolios,” said Munirah Khairuddin, CEO of Principal Asset Management.

“The pandemic has accelerated the adoption rate of digital investment solutions, giving more people the access and convenience to invest and save more for their financial well-being. We are committed to bringing more innovative solutions focused on affordability, savings and
investments, and inclusivity, while making investments easy to understand, and helping customers on their investment journeys,” the CEO added.

It offers more than 50 funds on their investment portal which includes conventional and shariah-compliant funds with a minimum initial investment of RM500. In conjunction with the introduction of the portal, 0% sales charge applies to all existing and new investors and the first 1,000 investors to start investing will receive a welcome reward of RM50. This promotion is applicable until 31 March 2022.
