Datasonic Secures RM22 Million Contract From Home Ministry For NRID Work

Datasonic has secured another project from the Malaysian Home Ministry after it received LOA to provide the services of design, print, supply, and delivery of various security documents to the National Registration Department of Malaysia for a period of thirty-six months.

The project is said to be valued at RM22.4 million and will commence from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2025, as a condition to accepting the project Datasonic will also have to implement the Professional Training and Education For Growing Entrepreneurs (PROTÉGÉ) program as set by the Government based on the contract sum and a minimum number of the participant of 9 persons, at no cost to the Government.

The digital security firm was also awarded an RM50 million contract in February this year to supply MyKad, MyTentera, MyPOCA raw cards, and consumables to the National Registration Department for a period of twelve months commencing from 15 February 2022 to 14 February 2023.

Both contracts will bode for the group as it heads into 2022.
