Bank Negara: International Reserves Down From February To US$115.6 Billion

The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia amounted to USD115.6 billion as of 31 March 2022. The reserves level has taken into account the quarterly foreign exchange revaluation changes. Bank Negara says the reserves position is sufficient to finance 6.1 months of imports of goods and services and is 1.2 times total short-term external debt.

As for February, the detailed breakdown of international reserves based on the SDDS format shows the official reserve assets amounted to USD115,762.2 million, while other foreign currency assets amounted to USD133.8 million as of end-February 2022.
