Sarawak Consolidated Secures RM36 Million Road Infra Work In The State

Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad has accepted an LOA for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract from Masama Sdn Bhd. for the construction of road infrastructure in Bukit Goram, Katibas, Ngemah, and Machan as well as the proposed construction of Nanga Banjor, Nanga Makut roads and Katibas in Daerah Song, Sarawak.

The LOA will see SCIB Properties undertake, implement and complete the road construction project with the terms and conditions as stipulated in the Contract Document signed between Masama and Regional Corridor Development Authority (“RECODA”). The contract is worth RM36 million for the construction of road infrastructures in Sarawak and it will commence from May 2022 to April 2023.

Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of SCIB, Rosland bin Othman said, “We are delighted that our efforts have resulted in securing this contract in Sarawak as SCIB has been aggressive in our participation in EPCC and construction tendering activities both in the government and private sector.

SCIB recognises that the project can potentially benefits its manufacturing segment and also the strength of it manufactured product supply in the foreseeable future.

It added the project solidifies its presence in East Malaysia.
