| Shangri-La Hotels (Malaysia) Berhad announces the appointment of Mr Chan Kong Leong as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and Ms Lim Fen Nee as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective from 18 May 2022. The hotel group adds both of them bringing balance and a wealth of skills and experience to the Board. They have significant financial and operational experience, together with broad business knowledge and industry expertise. Each will bring new perspectives to the Board which will add diversity of thought to the Board’s discussions and serve the Group well in the future. Separately, Shangri-La Hotels confirmed the retirement of Madam Kuok Oon Kwong as Managing Director and that for the forthcoming 51st Annual General Meeting of the Company, Madam Kuok will not be seeking re-election as a Director and will be retiring from the Board and from her role as Managing Director. The Board thanks Madam Kuok for her outstanding contribution and unwavering commitment to the Group’s achievements and business performance spanning over 25 years. It added her strong leadership and wisdom, along with her deep industry knowledge and experience, have been of immeasurable value to the Board’s deliberations and to the Group as a whole.
