BTM Resources Receives FIT Letter From SEDA To Build 8 MW Electric Energy Power Plant

BTM Resources Berhad has received the Feed-In Tariff (FiT”) Approval Certificate from Sustainable Energy Development Authority to build and operate an Electrical Energy Power Plant (“EEPP”) with an installed capacity of 8 MW per hour.

This will allow the group to supply Net Export Capacity of 7 MW per hour to Tenaga Nasional Berhad at a fixed tariff rate of RM 0.3383 per KWh for twenty-one years commencing from May 2025. The EEPP will be located at Kemaman, Terengganu.

With this EEPP together with an NEC of 10 MW per hour approved to another wholly-owned subsidiary, BTM Biomass Products Sdn. Bhd. the Group would have a total approved NEC capacity of 17MW per hour.

BTM said the FIT approval will not have any significant impact on the performance of the Group for the Financial Year 2022. However, it shall contribute positively to the future earnings of the Group during the effective period i.e from May 2025, the commencement date of FiT up to the end of twenty-one years.
