Sabah Submits Proposal To Increase Singapore Flights To Tawau, Sandakan

The Sabah Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Environment will submit a proposal to Singapore airlines in the near future to increase routes to the city and Sandakan.

Its Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin said direct flights to Tawau and Sandakan Airports would help revive Sabah’s tourism sector.

He said a meeting with Singapore Senior Minister (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Development) Sim Ann was held yesterday.

This flight route will make it easier for foreign tourists to come to attractive tourist destinations such as Sipadan Island in Semporna, Sepilok Orangutan Conservation Center in Sandakan and many more.

The Sabah Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment is working to attract the participation of Singapore airlines to expand its flights, “he said in a statement today.

He said his party through the Sabah Tourism Board was currently conducting business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) in increasing tourism promotion efforts to attract more international tourists to come to Sabah.
