Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd a subsidiary of parent company Kelingotn Berhad has secured a contract to build a semiconductor plant in Johor for a European client.
The group had entered into a construction contract with a Franco-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductors manufacturer, to undertake the design, engineering, and construction work on a new manufacturing building which consists of a manufacturing (plating) area, mechanical and electrical utility plant, and a multi-storey carpark to the existing plant in Johor.
The contract value is approximately RM114 million, which is subject to the actual amount of work carried out, depending on variation orders, scope options, and value engineering. Work is scheduled to commence in June 2022 and is expected to be completed by December 2023.
This new contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Kelington for the financial years ending 31 December 2022 and 31 December 2023.
