MAHA 2022 To Draw RM4 Billion In Investment

Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry is confident that this year Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition MAHA 2022 will rake in over RM4 billion in investments after confirming on 9 MOU were scheduled to be signed by the Ministry.

Minister Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee said the signing of the MoU will involve domestic and foreign industry players throughout the organistion of the exhibition which is set to take place from 4 to 14 August. The large-scale agriculture event will take place at the Malaysian Agricultural Expo Park center being postponed twice due to Covid-19. Visitors can expect much fanfare and activities including 8 different agricultural sites like the Fisheries, Rice Livestock, Herb and Vegetable, Fruit, Pineapple, Machinery, and Floriculture.

Themed ‘Food Security for the Future Dr Ronald said the event will highlight many new approaches and mechanisation including the Internet of Things (IoT) and the discovery of new technologies for improving productivity. The event will promote small farmers, and medium to large industry players who can all showcase their products under one big roof.
