Empowering Malaysian Sellers to Grow Online

Earlier this year in February, Lazada Malaysia introduced the Hari-Harimau (HHM) 2022 New Seller Kickstarter Package, as part of the effort to extend an eCommerce helping hand for local MSMEs and traditional businesses by facilitating them in making that digital leap, thus ensuring their inclusion in the digital economy. Six months since the introduction of HHM, almost 44,000 local entrepreneurs have been onboarded as new sellers on Lazada.

Since April this year, Malaysian consumers were also treated to a digital series of ‘Seller for a Week’ featuring episodes with celebrities and influencers that have their own online store on Lazada. In addition to that, Lazada Malaysia’s seller community have been actively engaged via networking and learning engagements, such as the Masterclass, organised by Lazada University for sellers to learn from the experts and star sellers on how to seek growth and breakthrough in their online store performance and take their businesses to the next level. The 7th edition of Lazada Malaysia Masterclass was a successful hybrid event, engaging more than 1,000 participants. Stretching its reach even further, recently, over 300 local sellers across different states in Malaysia gathered for Teh Tarik session with Lazada’s team. The objective was to create a rapport with local sellers based at various locations throughout the country.
