Selangor MB Breaks Ground for Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong

PNSB (Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad) together with Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) officiated ground-breaking ceremony for Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong affordable homes today.

Officiating at the ground-breaking ceremony were YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor; YM Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar bin Raja Salim, Chief Executive Officer PNSB; and Ir. Dr. Muhamad Fuad Bin Abdullah, Chairman of Gagasan Nadi Cergas Berhad (Gagasan Nadi Cergas).

The Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong project is developed by Gagasan Nadi Cergas in partnership with PNSB’s subsidiary PNSB Construction as the strategic partner, and consists of a total of 1,260 units of semi-furnished apartments with a built-up space of 1,000 square feet at RM250,000 each.

Each three-bedroom two-bathroom unit will be fully-furnished. The apartment features contemporary modern design and would also be complemented by two car park spaces for each unit.

The development will feature many facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, multipurpose hall, yoga deck, badminton courts, pre-school, reading room, playground, jogging track, rooftop garden, barbecue area and community farm. On top of that, the development has a three-tier security system that ensures residents’ safety.

“The heart of the Selangor State Government is constantly on enhancing the safety and wellbeing of the people, and fostering greater community development activities. The ground-breaking of Idaman Bukit Jelutong is another milestone in the Selangor State Government’s goal of expanding home ownership amongst the M40 and B40 segments,” YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor said.

“The strategic location of Bukit Jelutong, the affordability of the units, and semi-furnishing in each unit has been a big draw to property buyers. We are confident that this Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong will enhance the quality of life of Selangor residents, and be suited to the lives of working-class individuals and young families,” the Menteri Besar added.

Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong, strategically located in the township of Bukit Jelutong, is part of the Selangor State Government’s initiative to address housing affordability issues in the state, with a target of building 45,760 Rumah Idaman by 2026. Its close proximity to community amenities.

“PNSB is mindful of the challenges by B40 and M40 segment in owning their own home, especially a comfortable residence and with public amenities and surrounding nearby facilities. Rumah Idaman offers an affordable home that is suitable for those who have not yet owned a home,” YM Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar bin Raja Salim, CEO of PNSB said.

“PNSB is committed to make the Rumah Idaman project a reality in strategic and potential locations in Selangor, including in Gombak, Sepang, Kuala Langat, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam districts. The target markets in Selangor will enjoy Rumah Idaman in 24 Idaman projects which will be implemented by PNSB, and 45,760 units will be developed
together with strategic partners,” he stressed.

“We have already received three times more registrations than the units offered since the registration of interest started earlier this year. Clearly, demand for affordable housing is resilient, especially in strategic locations like Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. This encourages us to capture this momentum, and are steadfast in developing our subsequent affordable housing in hand, totalling 10,000 units over the next five years,” Haji Wan Azman bin Wan Kamal, Group Managing Director, Gagasan Nadi Cergas Berhad said.
