China’s Foreign Trade Rose 10.1% for First 8 Months

According to the General Administration of Customs, China’s foreign trade with a total value of RMB27.3 trillion in the first eight months of 2022, increased 10.1 percent on a yearly basis.

Its exports rose 14.2 percent on a yearly basis to RMB15.48 trillion meanwhile its imports only increased 5.2 percent to RMB11.82 trillion. Total trade surplus spiked 58.2 percent year-on-year to RMB3.66 trillion.

“China’s total foreign trade expanded 8.6 percent from the same period last year to 3.71 trillion yuan in August,” according to General Administration of Customs.

Chia’s trade with the ASEAN reached RMB4.09 trillion between January and August, an increase of 14 percent on a yearly basis, while trade with the European Union rose 9.5 percent to 3.75 trillion yuan.

Meanwhile, the goods trade value between China and the United States grew 10.1 percent year-on-year to RMB3.35 trillion.
