M Rail Technics Sdn Bhd, a 70% indirect subsidiary of Destini Berhad has accepted maintenance, repair, and overhaul contract worth approximately RM163.61 million from the Malaysian Ministry of Transport.
The contract is for Level 4 MRO works on 10 units of Electric Train Set operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad for a period of three years. During the maintenance period, the ETS will require to undergo Level 4 MRO to ensure its safety and reliability, which includes scheduled maintenance, repairs, and spare parts replacement in accordance with the maintenance programme. This Contract is in addition to the contract MRail accepted in May 2022 for Level 4 MRO on 35 electric trainsets operated by KTMB worth RM531.39 million.
Destini has been aggressively expanding and strengthening its rail business and is optimistic that its rail business will be able to provide stable returns in the future.
