KLCI Lower on Profit Taking

Bursa Malaysia closed the Tuesday’s morning trading session in red with the FBM KLCI shed 14.9 points to 1,483.06.

The main index was heading southward due to selling pressure and profit taking in selected heavyweights. The resistance level at 1,500-point remains formidable.

Both counters dragged the composite index down by a combined 7.46 points.

Market breadth was negative with decliners outweighed gainers 440 to 277, while 387 counters were unchanged.

Meanwhile, trading volume and value were 1.38 billion units and RM817.18 million, respectively.

The top gainers of the morning session were PMB Technology, Batu Kawan, MPI, Sungai Bagan Rubber, Coastal Contracts, Carlsberg Malaysia.

Whilst the decliners were Petronas Dagangan, United Plantation, Hong Leong Bank, Petronas Chemicals, Eurospan Holdings
