FBM KLCI Remained Flattish

Bursa Malaysia ended Thursday’s morning trading session almost flat with the main index FBM KLCI had risen by 1.36 points to 1,469.80.

The KLCI was propped by selected buying of heavyweight stocks, led by financial services, transportation and logistics counters. 

Despite the mildly positive performance of the main index, the overall market breadth was negative, with thin trading and also decliners outpaced gainers 344 to 315, while 394 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were 1.23 billion units and RM664.34 million, respectively.

Some of the top gainers of the morning session were Harrisons Holdings, British American Tobacco, DKSH Holdings, Alpha Ocean Resources, SAM Engineering & Equipment, Nestle.

While decliners were F&N, PMB Technology, Carlsberg Malaysia, Chin Tek Plantations, Panasonic Malaysia, Heineken Malaysia.
