BKM Phase 4 Cash Handout Totaling RM2.1 Billion In December

Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri confirms that the Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia cash handout program by the Government will enter the phase 4 stage in December with an allocation of RM2.1 billion.

He said this as phase 3 of the program will see RM2.2 billion being credited into accounts of eligible Malaysians in September, the initiative is expected to benefit about 8.7 million households, senior citizens, widowers, single individuals, and those who had their appeals approved.

The phase 3 initiative will be handing out RM900 to the recipients while more than 80,000 who have been approved could receive RM2350 based on their category and eligibility including the Additional cash incentive announced in June.

With Budget 2023 scheduled for October 7, analysts expect more people-friendly programs to be announced and a possible extension of the BKM cash handout program. Ismail Sabri who is contending to retain his premiership will be throwing everything at the upcoming general election to garner public support.
