Indonesia Said Cross Border Payment With 5 ASEAN Countries Fully Connected In 2023

The Indonesian Central Bank Governor said the cross-border payment program between five ASEAN countries namely Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia will be fully connected next year.

Based on a report published in Reuters, Governor Perry Warjiyo at an Islamic event that Indonesia has already connected payment with Thailand and will do so with Malaysia through Bank Negara Malaysia and Singapore. The governor however did not give details on the Philippines.
