NCT Group today signed two Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, Huawei Technologies and Green Quarters, by leveraging on its strong momentum for its upcoming development of NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor,

“Digital technologies are taking the world by storm and have undoubtedly reshaped the way we do business. It is indeed timely that we adapt and implement solutions that transcend the expectations of our potential investors. The collaborations today will certainly enable us to attain our goal of providing a more agile and proactive business environment as we leverage on our partners’ best practises and cutting-edge solutions,” said Dato Sri Yap Ngan Choy, Founder and Group Managing Director of NCT Group of Companies.

Under the MoU, Huawei will provide ICT infrastructure products and solutions, data centre solutions, and solar energy storage solutions to support NSIP in becoming a fully connected smart development.

On top of that, Huawei will also look into providing value-added technology innovations developed and created by the company.

“The pursuit of an intelligent era and carbon neutrality have become the global shared mission in which data centres will see changes in service forms, energy supply, operations, and maintenance models,” Huawei Malaysia Digital Power Business, Vice President Mr Chong Chern Peng said.

“The Huawei Data Centre Facility Business will embrace changes by optimising organisational structures, continuously investing in innovation, building a healthy business ecosystem and driving the sustainable development of the data centre
industry,” Chong added.

Commenting further, Mr Chong said these efforts are directed towards the development of building an open and win-win industrial ecosystem whilst promoting the sustainable development of the data centre industry.

Meanwhile, NCT’s MOU with Green Quarters is aimed at working hand in hand to achieve a sustainable industrial park in compliance to the local and international green building certification to reduce industrial and commercial carbon footprint.

Given Green Quarters expertise in the field of energy and green consultancy, it aims to support NSIP with best industry practices by providing pertinent counsel in its area of expertise. This will further unlock opportunities for both parties to explore other potential areas of collaboration, including sustainability practices and renewable energy.

“We are pleased to explore this collaboration with NCT Group to bring to life our goal of driving real change for the common good. We are confident NSIP’s strong ESG proposition coupled with our contribution to meet its sustainability goal will position NSIP in an environment to defend and grow,” Chin Yee Choong, Director of Green Quarters said.
