Clever Tea Bag Hacks You Didn’t Know!

Tea Steam Facial

Place a couple tea bags in a basin of hot water. Lean over the bowl for 5 to 10 minutes and let the steam wash over your face. The antioxidants in the tea will benefit your skin greatly.

Refresh Your Carpets

Allow your tea bags to dry. Open the package and combine the dried leaves with a handful of baking soda before scattering the mixture over a carpet. Allow it to rest for 20 minutes before vacuuming. The tea and baking soda will absorb smells and trap dirt.

Treat Skin Irritation

Apply a dampened, cooled tea bag to mild rashes and insect bites. The tea will help to reduce inflammation. It will also alleviate irritation.

Get Rid Of Under Eye Circles

Do you have bags under your eyes? Make use of tea bags. Apply them in the refrigerator to cool and then place them on your eyes for a few minutes. Caffeine will cause the blood vessels surrounding your eyes to constrict.

Absorb Bad Odours

Place a discarded dry tea bag in a drawer, closet, refrigerator, shoes, or anywhere else that stinks. The scents will be absorbed by the tea. It also does not have a significant odour.

Soothe Sunburn

Out of aloe vera? Try tea bags instead, or combine both aloe and tea. Inflammation will be reduced by the tea. Brew your old black tea bags again. Cool your tea and dip a towel in it when the water becomes black. Dab the tea on your skin with the cloth. Just don’t wipe it off; instead, let your skin absorb it.

Make Your Hair Smooth And Shiny

Make a strong tea with old tea bags and set it aside to cool. Allow your hair to soak in the tea for 10 minutes. For silky smooth hair, wash and condition as usual.

Fire Starter

Dry your tea bag before dipping it in molten wax. Place the waxed bags on tin foil or parchment paper. Allow the wax to harden before using it as a fire starter.

Polish Wood Surfaces

Re-brew your tea bags in warm water and apply with a cloth to your wood surfaces. Buff the wood with elbow grease. It will bring back the lustre to your wood.
