FBM KLCI Weighed Down by Profit-Taking at Mid-Day

Bursa Malaysia ended the Monday morning session in the negative territory, the FBM KLCI dropped 6.34 points to 1,461.87 from last Friday’s closing of 1,468.21.

The benchmark index was weighed by continuous profit-taking on selected heavyweight counters, a dealer said. 

At 9 am, the main index opened 0.78 point higher at 1,468.99. 

On the broader market, decliners outweighed gainers 421 to 349, while 361 counters were unchanged.

Trading volume and value were registered at 1.57 billion units and RM707.01 million, respectively.

Top five advancers for the morning session were Hextar Technologies, Signature International, Chin Hin Group, PMB Technology, Teladan Setia Group.

While top five decliners were Nestle Malaysia, Harrisons Holdings, Malaysian Pacific Industries (MPI), Heineken Malaysia.

Top five active were Advance Synergy, Top Glove, Techna-X, G3 Global, Widad Group.
