Asian Stocks Ended in Mild Gain Ahead of FOMC Minutes

Kuala Lumpur, November 23 – Bursa Malaysia ended Wednesday trading day in mildly positive mood, with the FBM KLCI gained 2.21 points or +0.15% at 1,443.50. The benchmark index recovered from days of losing streak and gained its foothold attributed to dip-buying.

Meanwhile, the Asian bourses mostly ended in green with a subpar performance despite solid gains reported by S&P500 on Tuesday. Market participants remain cautious ahead of the release of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) minutes, which are due on Thursday.

Both Hong Kong and Shanghai markets ended in cautiously positive note as the bear factor of rising infections of Covid-19 is battling with the bull factor of the PBOC’s assistance to be injected to the property market as well as the 6 largest banks of China.
