PM Anwar Declares Monday Public Holiday

Freshly minted Prime Minister, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has declared Monday 28 November as a public holiday for the support the rakyat had given to him and his party in the recent general election.

Anwar who hails from the coalition-led Pakatan Harapan, has been appointed as the country’s 10th Prime Minister by the Agong after an impasse took place between to leading parties.

During a special press conference, just hours after officially taking oath, the new Prime Minister answered questions on various topics including whether he had the backing of all 112 MPs. The veteran politician handled the media like a pro and left no questions unanswered, leaving the media much satisfied.
