FBM KLCI Gained 0.80% Whilst Asian Bourses Rebounded

Kuala Lumpur, November 30 – Bursa Malaysia ended Wednesday trading day in a positive note, with the FBM KLCI inched up 11.84 points or +0.80% at 1,488.80. The northward movement was in line with the performance of regional peers.

Meanwhile for most of Asian bourses rebounded today as market participants were pinning their hopes on stimulus package and eventual reopening its economy despite its newly released PMI manufacturing and services sector looked disappointing.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index extended its rally, soared 2.16% to 18,599.23. The best performer amongst the peers today. It is believed that HSI had bottomed-out and is on its track to rebound. News of loosening Covid-curbs in Guangzhou also spurred the index higher. The index was lifted by automative stocks, tech-heavyweights such as Meituan etc.

  • The FTSE BM KLCI opened at 1,476.22. The index fluctuated between 1,464.81– 1,489.78.
