Plantation and Commodity Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof began his official duties at the ministry by scanning the time recorder card at exactly 8.30am today.
Immediately after scanning the time recorder card, he was taken to his office to attend a briefing session on the ministry with department heads.
Next, he attended a special Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Bangunan Perdana Putra at 10 am.
He is scheduled to the Deputy Prime Minister’s office to symbolically begin the official duties of the position after the Special cabinet meeting.
The Petra Jaya Member of Parliament is one of the two Deputy Prime Ministers in the Unity Government Cabinet in addition to Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who was announced by the Prime Minister last Friday.
