Malaysia’s companies who participated in Aeromart Toulouse 2022 held in MEETT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Toulouse, France from Nov 29 to Dec 1, 2022 have secured potential sales worth RM276 million.

In a statement, MATRADE said the potential sales were secured during business meetings, involving Malaysian exhibitors and global buyers from various countries such as France, the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Italy, India, Indonesia, Romania, South Korea and Japan.

The products of interest include nacelles and composite wings components, metallic aerostructures, tooling for computerised numerical computer machines, among others, which underscore Malaysia’s aerospace capabilities and specialties in aircraft-support products.

Malaysia’s participation in the event helps to promote its capabilities in the aerospace manufacturing and services sector in line with rising demand for commercial flights and aircraft productions.

The Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA) managing director David Jones said the event was an opportunity to showcase the strengths of Malaysian aerospace companies and their aim to grow their presence internationally.

The event also provided a platform for participants to learn about new innovations and exchange ideas among various notable prospects from all over the world.

Although we are given a very stiff target to achieve, I am confident that it is attainable because the series of business meetings were well-arranged and were supported by our companies’ unique capabilities and new inventions in aerospace industry,” he said.
