In line with the performance of regional peers, Bursa Malaysia ended the Thursday morning trading session in positive note with the benchmark index FBM KLCI climbed 4.54 points or +0.31% at 1,467.09.
The main index snapped its losing streak by climbing higher in the morning trading session following the positive cue of Wall Street performance overnight whereby the DJIA gained 1.6% to 33,376.48 and Nasdaq, 1.54% to 10,709.37.
Meanwhile, the Asian stock markets are traded in higher for the Thursday morning session.
At 9:00 am, the index opened slightly lower at 1,463.79.
During the morning trading session, the index was traded in the range of 1,462.41 – 1,467.09.
Top five active counters for the morning session were Advance Synergy, Reneuco, Serba Dinamik, Fintec Global, Citaglobal.
Top five gainers were PETRONAS Chemicals, Fraser & Neave, Harrisons Holdings, PJBumi, Heineken Malaysia.
Whilst top five decliners were United Malacca, Hextar Technologies Solutions, Kotra Industries, Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Kepong.
